Folabi is the co-founder and managing partner of Octave Partners Limited, an investment & management consulting firm focusing on West Africa. Before co-founding Octave, he worked on the investment team at Travant Capital Partners for 2 years.
Travant, a Private Equity firm with $107 million under management, focused on investments in West & Central Africa.
Folabi also has financial advisory experience with Ocean & Oil Holdings in Nigeria and management consulting experience with Booz Allen Hamilton (now Booz & Co) in the U.S. Prior to attending business school; he spent 5 years gaining experience with three Fortune 500 companies: Halliburton, Merck & AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals. In these roles, he gained experience in operations, strategy and engineering. For example, at AstraZeneca, he was responsible for the operations of a factory. He managed employees in the production of Seroquel, a drug with sales of over $2 billion per year.
Folabi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston, Texas, where he graduated with honours and was Elected to the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honour Society.
He also has a Master's in Business Administration degree from the Harvard Business School, where he focused on Finance, Strategy & Entrepreneurship.
