Wale has both local and international Investment Banking experience in New York, Dubai and Nigeria. His experience cut across Sales (Fixed Income, Currency, Commodity and Equities), Structuring, Capital Markets, Derivatives, Treasury, Risk Management, Operations and Asset Management. He has also been involved in various mining and mining investment activities in Southern Africa, including Gold, Chrome, Platinum, Iron ore, diamond etc.
He joined Nissi-Lloyds Capital from FBN Capital, where he was the Group Head of Institutional Sales. Before FBN Capital, Wale was an Associate Director at Standard Chartered Bank (SCB), Global Market, for 3 years.
He was based in the Middle East (Dubai) for 2 years after finishing his MBA at Columbia Business School in New York. Working for SCB Global Markets, he was responsible for the Fixed Income, Currency and Commodity Derivatives Sales and Structuring across sub-Saharan Africa. He has been involved in various deals across Sub-Saharan Africa, including Nigeria, Ghana, Botswana, Zambia, Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa.
He later moved to Nigeria to run the Financial Institutions Fixed Income, Currency and Commodity Sales and Derivatives business for Standard Chartered Global Markets.Prior to SCB, Wale also worked at UBS Investment Bank in New York and Stamford, Connecticut, United Bank for Africa (UBA) and Oceanic Bank Nigeria Plc (now ECO Bank).
He is an Alumnus of the prestigious Columbia Business School in New York. He holds a B.Sc. Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife. Wale is a Chartered Member of the Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM), a Chartered Member of Licensed International Financial Analyst USA and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers Nigeria (CIBN). He also holds the ACI Treasury Dealing Certificate
